Synopsis:
It’s 1942, East London. The Second World War is in full swing, and eighteen-year-old Nellie Morrison is just grateful to be alive. Air raids are common, but thankfully, Nellie and her family always manage to remain safe in the underground shelters. Attempting to live life as normal during a war isn’t simple, but with her friends and family, Nellie has been doing well. Enter Ray, an American Airman, that after a happen chance encounter, is immediately taken by Nellie…as is she with him. Suddenly, Nellie’s dreams of traveling the world and experiencing life to the fullest degree don’t seem so far-fetched.
