In this thrilling second installment to the Halcyon Epic series, Emma faces personal and global threats as the Rusalka creep off the mountain one bloody massacre at a time. She is recruited to travel across the country with a band of Gypsies to enlist a grumpy old Magi who wants nothing to do with the brewing hostilities up North. Emma is faced with devastation beyond her imagination as refugees flee from the mountains to escape the encroaching violence. Left without title or honor, Emma is listless as she must confront demons, past and present, in ways she never imagined and conflicts she wants nothing to do with.
